Is Your Business Using Local Mobile Marketing?

You and your business don’t have any excuses to not use local mobile marketing. Everyday I hear from someone who isn’t using mobile marketing let alone localized marketing. Most of these people are also telling me that they are not getting as many sales, their profits are down and they don’t know how to use mobile marketing. Not being found in the mobile space will be worse than not being found on the internet.

I just read a new research report by the Forrester Group. The report states the 71% of eBusiness Mangers feel their staffs have an average or less than average competence in mobile marketing. I would bet that number is much higher for non eBusiness companies. What about your company do you have a Mobile Strategy? Are you using any Local Mobile Marketing at all?

To me, this is definitely a lead pipe cinch way to get ahead of your competition. I know that I reference Google quite a bit and if you don’t you should be. Yesterday Google reported that 40% of the mobile searches are for Local Business information. Now that is quite a bit of searching for you and other local businesses. Here is exactly what Google said:

“40% of all mobile searches coming to Google are local in nature at this point, which continues to trend upward. As such, the search giant also announced that “physical location,” or the proximity of a local business to a user’s location will become a targeting variable when serving ads to mobile users.”

Local Mobile Marketing works and is not a trend. You can tell because it is starting to get LOCAL. This marketing method is going to steam roll you and your business if you don’t start getting involved. What’s good about this right now is that the mobile space is not as full as the internet space. You can leverage this situation if you get started now.

Your Solution to Local Mobile Marketing

Before you and your employees jump in head first into mobile marketing, think about it. Did you do all of your own local  internet marketing, how is that working for you? Did you do all of your own graphics and site building,  how is that working for you? Do you do your own accounting, dentistry etc? Be honest with yourself, if 71% of the eBusiness Managers don’t have the experience and skills to do their own localized mobile marketing then you most likely don’t either. You are not the solution, bite the bullet and find a Mobile Marketing Specialist or Consultant that works in local mobile marketing. You will save a lot of time and money doing so.  This is one instance where time is not your ally.
